I have often been described as a “painterly realist”. I am painting what I see while trying to express my personal vision in a way that connects the excitement I feel about the subject with the viewer. I use the medium to add an additional dimension to the composition. I often focus on architectural or human elements in a landscape because they anchor the scene and provide a narrative focus.
